The difference between work visa and work permit in Thailand

The work permit is a certificate issued by the Labor Bureau of Thailand to work legally in Thailand. The work visa is issued by the Immigration Bureau of Thailand.
2. Different requirements
According to Thai law, all foreigners in Thailand must obtain this certificate if they want to work in Thailand and get paid. Work visas are mainly issued to foreigners working in Thailand, including citizens recruited by Thai enterprises and people recruited by foreign-funded enterprises who need to work in Thailand.
3. The order is different.
After completing the work permit, you can apply for a 1 year work visa at Chiang Mai Immigration Bureau, and then extend it year by year.
