AMC8 is an American mathematics competition for 8th grade.

The American Mathematics Competition (AMC) is sponsored by the American Mathematical Association, including AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12, AIME and US (J) AMO. The U.S. national team for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is selected through AMC every year.

AMC8 is held every year in November, mainly for junior high school and elementary school senior students below grade 8 (second grade); AMC10/12 is held every year in February, mainly for grade 10 (first year of high school) and grade 12 ( Senior high school students below.

The AMC American Mathematics Competition was established in 1950 by the Mathematics Association of America.
