Hu Aishu Township Characteristic Economy

Tobacco production: Hu Aishu Township is one of the major tobacco-growing townships in suiping county, with a long history of tobacco planting. The annual planting area is over 3,000 mu, and tobacco production has become an important channel to adjust agricultural structure and increase farmers' income.

Animal husbandry: Hu Aishu Township is one of the beef cattle breeding townships loaned by the World Bank, and the animal husbandry has developed rapidly. There are 45,000 live pigs, 0.5 million sheep/kloc-0, 9,000 cows and 300,000 poultry in the township. Basically, they are cultured, with good meat quality and good taste.

Aquaculture: Make full use of the advantages of 3,000 mu of rare resources in 4 reservoirs and more than 30 ponds and dams across the country, fully develop and comprehensively utilize them, and vigorously promote the aquaculture technology of famous and excellent aquatic products such as cage fish culture, which has achieved good economic benefits.

Fruit production: Zhuangyuan Village 130 mu forestry seedling base, Zhangwulou Village 500 mu apple base, Shengqiao Village 800 mu miscellaneous fruit base and Lixinglou 2000 mu chestnut base have begun to take shape, and the fruit area of the township has reached more than 5,000 mu.

Greenhouse planting: Hu Aishu Township began to develop farmers' greenhouse planting management under the leadership of the township government from 1998, and actively carried out large-scale greenhouse management. The concentration of crops, mainly agricultural and sideline products, seasonal vegetables and some vegetables that are not easy to keep fresh, has increased the income of local farmers and workers, which is 2000 yuan/mu lower than local crops.
