What does the border checkpoint do?

The work of the border inspection station is as follows:

1. Carry out border inspection on exit and entry personnel, their luggage, means of transport and the goods they carry;

2, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, the inbound and outbound means of transport for safekeeping;

3. Alert the port restricted area and maintain the order of entry and exit;

4. Perform tasks assigned by the competent authority and other laws and administrative regulations.

Usually, frontier inspection stations are important law enforcement forces set up at ports open to the outside world. They are under the vertical leadership of the Immigration Bureau and are responsible for safeguarding national sovereignty, security and social order, and managing the entry and exit of personnel and means of transport. It can carry out the inspection and management of entry-exit personnel and vehicles, the management of restricted areas at ports, and prevent and investigate illegal entry-exit activities.

The law is based on Article 3 of the Regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection.

People's Republic of China (PRC) has set up exit and entry frontier inspection stations (hereinafter referred to as frontier inspection stations) at ports open to the outside world, such as ports, airports, railway stations and frontier ports.

Entry-exit personnel and means of transport must pass through ports open to the outside world or places licensed by the competent authorities and accept frontier inspection, guardianship and management. Exit and entry personnel must abide by the laws and administrative regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC).
