The water supply project of Yuan Bin Reservoir in Bincheng District is located in the northwest of Qintai Reservoir, north to the new 205 National Road, east to the west dam of Qintai Reservoir, south to the reservoir dedicated road and west to the main canal of Zhang Xiaotang.

Yuan Bin Reservoir has a water storage capacity of 9.8 million cubic meters, a daily water supply capacity of 50,000 cubic meters and a daily sludge treatment capacity of 1500 cubic meters. The main construction contents are Yuan Bin Reservoir dam, pumping station, connecting culvert and sluice. Water plant advection pool, V-type filter, activated carbon filter and other structures, intelligent water treatment system, sludge treatment system. The project was completed during the fourteenth five-year plan period.
