Why are so few countries applying visa-free or visa-on-arrival to China?

(1) Principle of diplomatic reciprocity. If China does not grant visa-free access to other countries, other countries will generally not grant visa-free access to citizens of China. There are many "political considerations" about why these countries are not granted visa exemption.

(2) In the 1990s, for a period of time, the phenomenon of China people smuggling and illegal immigration was very serious, and China people had a strong viability, which had a great impact on local employment, so some countries tightened their visa policies to China.

(3) Socialist countries such as China have always taken "restrictive" measures on citizens' overseas travel, which has historical inertia, and the reasons are not difficult to understand.
