How can I quit my household registration after emigrating?

Household registration represents your nationality.

Immigrants can be immigrant visas, permanent residency (that is, green cards), or foreign nationalities. These three categories all belong to the category of immigration.

China will not recognize dual nationality, and your nationality will be revoked only if you acquire a foreign nationality. Otherwise, if you are only an immigrant visa and you are still a citizen of China, you don't need to cancel your account.
