Everyone has to give advice to PSA? I must teach the sprayer a lesson.

Before writing PSA, talk about your own experience.

As a newcomer to the media, there is a shortcut. First of all, show your JDM identity, and it is best to carve the red seal of Honda on your head, so that Japanese car fans can basically get their hands on it. Although fans of different Japanese brands have different crowds, one thing is very harmonious. They can still recognize each other's green codes. You are a Honda fan and I am a Mazda fan, which does not prevent us from becoming real JDM fans. This is the first step.

If you find that there are too many people blowing Japanese cars, and at the same time, you usually prefer to drive mocking skills, and your skill talent is still relatively high, then there is a second way, that is, stepping on those declining brands, such as PSA Ford GM and so on. Without too deep analysis, you can basically know what to spray, such as spraying Ford with a three-cylinder machine and a weak chicken gearbox, and then decorating the tool car. In the past three years, I didn't get a new car ... Barabara, which finally sublimated into internal discord, the struggle between Changan and Ford, etc. Make your article look like an insider.

Stepping on PSA is also very simple. Even if you used to be a digital blogger and suddenly found a lot of money in the car and suddenly switched to the car circle, you can quickly set up a "senior" person and spray PSA through mocking skills. Of course it's a good choice. What is a perpetual leaf spring, what is perpetual 1.6T, what is an impractical design, what is a design that pursues individuality too much, what is a tire bulge, and the timing belt falls off. Basically, it's easy to get good reviews, even if I didn't investigate the information myself, I'll say what others say anyway, even if other people's information is third-hand or fourth-hand ... Before you speak, write your profile as "how many years' experience" or something, and the ironic effect will be direct X2.

This year started badly, and the COVID-19 epidemic brought great pressure to the automobile industry. Dongfeng Renault was dissolved as soon as the domestic epidemic situation improved. In fact, PSA, which has worked hard in the domestic market for many years, naturally loses more than Renault, but Renault's legal status is naturally implicated in PSA. After Renault's analysis, a large number of car fans (car media) came to analyze PSA and give advice to PSA. Maybe the starting point is good. This must be admitted, but there is nothing new in strategy, such as closing the factory, developing new engines and switching independent suspension. German cars are available anyway.

Every time I look at these analyses, I feel very funny. Some of them are similar to what I wrote 3-4 years ago. They only rely on the second-hand information on the Internet, and give advice to PSA after their own brains. It can't be said that these car enthusiasts don't understand the product characteristics of PSA at all. At least, to be sure, most of them drive very few cars, let alone PSA models for a long time.

As for me, I must have my own problems. After all, as a former PSA developer, I know the product features and selling points of PSA too well, but I think I can still see the competitiveness of PSA better than fans or sprayers. In addition, I often change cars and will never buy duplicate brands, such as Volkswagen, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Ford, Kia, Great Wall, Geely and Alfa Romeo. I have a long driving range. Why do I value the significance of deeply feeling the vehicle across brands? It is not as useful as telling stories to continue to reason here.

I entered the automobile R&D industry at the beginning of 20 14. At first, I didn't enter the main engine factory, but went to a third-party engineering company with good reputation in the industry, and it was also the first engineering company in the field of powertrain. This company has some original software and engineering methods. For example, when 20 10 China automobile brand first contacted EMS suppliers for joint calibration, the concept of driving performance was still very new. It was my first contact, and later my colleague in charge of this software immigrated to Australia, so I took over this software just three months after I joined the company.

With this software and its concept, I really learned a lot. After becoming the technical director of this software in Greater China, I received all kinds of feedback and feelings about software consultation and use, which greatly enriched my experience and vision. So after working for 2 years, I have completely believed that the driving ability can only rely on this software of our company, otherwise it will not be done well. However, I had my doubts at that time. Most of our company's customers are from Europe and America, but Japanese and Korean departments are still quite few, but I didn't think too much. ...

Later, I moved to PSA, which is also the field of powertrain matching. It has a great correlation with the previous work, but it is wonderful. PSA doesn't need objective evaluation software at all, which is why I was recruited.

In fact, the first half of my career in PSA was very depressing, because my previous skills could not be played here, and my experience and skills were very useful when I was in the former company before I joined the company. At that time, PSA recruited me because it was imperative for PSA Europe to carry out objective evaluation, and the Asian region should cooperate with the technological upgrading trend of the headquarters. In fact, France has implemented an objective evaluation system for this kind of technological upgrading, but it is particularly slow in the local area. Because I am a new employee, the team leader always uses subjective drive to evaluate, so it is very contradictory to the promotion of objective evaluation methods. Of course, I was young and energetic, and I resisted subjective evaluation.

Finally, under the guidance of my friends, I still crustily skin of head to understand the subjective evaluation method, but my mentality at that time was just to understand the subjective evaluation method thoroughly, and then find its defects so as to cut into the objective evaluation system. But with the deepening of my study, I found that PSA has its own set of subjective evaluation methods for driving, so that I began to question my previous idea-can objectivity (evaluation software) really replace everything? Why didn't PSA use Si Qian's software for a hundred years? Why can't some operating points with high scores in the objective evaluation system get too high scores in the subjective evaluation system of PSA? And the operating points that we feel good subjectively sometimes get very low marks in the objective evaluation software?

In the former company, I thought that all subjective evaluations should be swept into the garbage, but in fact, I never used the method of subjective evaluation in the benchmarking project done by the former company, and I lacked the ability of subjective evaluation at that time. Later, with the understanding of PSA's subjective evaluation system and familiarity with style, I found that PSA's subjective evaluation not only fascinated me, but also PSA's driving performance evaluation was well-known in the whole automobile field at that time.

In the first year of study and training of PSA subjective evaluation, I subverted my own ideas. I no longer despise subjective evaluation as I did at the beginning of my job. On the contrary, PSA's meticulous subjective evaluation system makes me have unprecedented doubts about objective methods. gave's evaluation tool is good, but it is a universal value evaluation tool. If you don't make any changes, the adjusted car style is exactly the same, with fleshy pedals. Active downshifting helps to improve the score of objective evaluation tools, but this style can only represent AVL. If you are a poor brand of new car and don't understand it, you can take it at will, but you are a century-old enterprise, so you should be cautious about this kind of third-party consultation, because if you consult with a third party, you will never be able to make the style you want.

Back to the PSA work itself, PSA's new car research and development will only continue PSA's process and verification standards, so that the driving performance made by the process is PSA's style. By analogy, BMW will not completely trust the objective evaluation tool (software), but use its own evaluation system to integrate this software into its own unique evaluation system, so whether it is 1 series or 7 series, it can make a similar driving experience, only the difference between fineness and quality level-an excellent BMW will confirm with you at the moment you step on the accelerator.

Therefore, my working experience in PSA has greatly changed my understanding of cars. Not that you think it's right. In other words, the PSA in your eyes is not a real PSA. Only PSA can decide what a real PSA is. This thing is called brand DNA.

The story is over, and so is the truth I want to tell. In fact, my truth is that long-term expectation in an enterprise or similar enterprise will limit your thinking, just as I couldn't believe there was a subjective evaluation system before. The culture of this enterprise and the values of making cars will affect the engineers under this system, which will make you lose sight of the advantages of other brands; The same principle can also be applied to car fans. If you drive a brand car all the year round, you will be influenced by the tonality of this brand and only agree with its values. However, anything different from it is different for you. The more you drive a brand car, the more you look like a fundamentalist MSL. Sometimes it means that you only recommend your own brand to people around you, and other brands are devalued. Sometimes it means that you want to turn other brands into your identity.

I have experienced such a process, and now it is hard for me to say that I will not be influenced by my own values and preach to others. I can only remind myself not to be such a fundamentalist at any time.

One more thing, I once visited other non-engineering car critics as an engineer. Now I regret my childishness. A senior car critic should drive many cross-brand cars. Relatively speaking, they can give more neutral opinions and conclusions, and I also suggest that every newcomer who is determined to engage in the media industry can have his own personal preferences, not to mention absolute fairness and objectivity, as long as you consciously discover the uniqueness of each brand. Consciously explore the varieties of different brands, I think this kind of car review is worth seeing, and with the preset position and inertia thinking, "Katie should cut the price, PSA should close, Ford should go back to North America", I think that kind of article may make readers feel good, but is this really the angle that car critics should have? Is it worth reflecting on?

Now is the era of automobiles from the media. Thanks to the internet, everyone has the opportunity to speak and get their own fans. There are experienced car enthusiasts, car engineers, car media people and bloggers from other industries. Let's have a heated discussion about cars. This is a good phenomenon, which allows more cars to be examined and treated from more angles, rather than being closed at once.

I will talk about it in the next article. If I can give advice to PSA, where should I start?
