Why don't Lintan County and Zhuoni merge?

Merged. Lintan County in Gannan and Zhuoni City merged once on 1958, and Zhuoni was revoked, calling the new city Lintan County. Later 196 1 year, Lintan County and Zhuoni were separated again and became two county towns, which have been passed down to this day. Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is one of the ten Tibetan autonomous prefectures in China. It is located in the southwest of Gansu Province, China, at the transition zone between the northeast edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the west of the Loess Plateau, and has a vast grassland.
