On the premise of not touching the private ownership of capitalist means of production and the economic foundation of capitalist system, this kind of high welfare can only alleviate class contradictions, but can not completely solve them.

But now that the economy is globalized, the other view is not so class antagonism and cold war mentality, but treats capitalist society and socialist society equally, thinking that capitalism and socialism are two different social forms of human ideal, and high welfare in western countries is also a reasonable policy implemented by the state to protect people's livelihood. The long-term existence of capitalism and socialism is a recognized historical trend, and they are constantly learning from each other's reasonable components. For example, capitalist countries learn from the planned economy of socialist countries to make the government participate in economic supervision, while socialist countries learn from the capitalist market economy to make the national economy more dynamic.

Speaking of China, the gap between the rich and the poor is really great. Because of the guiding ideology of "allowing some people to get rich first", taking economic construction as the center, it does not rule out the imbalance of regional development. It should be said that these policies are correct. If we only pursue the average and welfare of "socialism" unilaterally, it will only lead to low productivity and widespread poverty. However, the current excessive gap between the rich and the poor will also lead to social instability, which in turn will affect the development of the whole country. Therefore, this government attaches great importance to the fair distribution of income, while advocating "harmony" in all fields, on the one hand, to balance income in the economic field and narrow the gap between the rich and the poor, on the other hand, to stabilize and unite in the ideological and cultural field, so as to alleviate the social problems that may be caused by the gap between the rich and the poor.

Of course, a large population is a reality, and the employment problem will not be solved for a while. Therefore, on the one hand, the government is vigorously developing the economy and providing more jobs, on the other hand, it should encourage self-employment and solve the employment problem.
