Ms. Andrea Jung's family background

Born in 1959 in a middle-class immigrant family, Ms. Andrea Jung was the eldest daughter. Born in Shanghai, her mother was an accomplished pianist and later became the first female chemical engineer in Canada. Her father was born in Hong Kong and is a respected architect.

Both parents are extremely ambitious people, and their expectations of Ms. Andrea Jung are naturally quite high. In order to make their daughters have lofty aspirations, parents have cultivated Ms. Andrea Jung's hard-working qualities since childhood. Ms. Andrea Jung has been learning piano since he was five years old. He practices piano every afternoon and goes to a piano concert every weekend night.

Ms. Andrea Jung remembers an incident when she was in the fourth grade. At that time, she was very eager to have a box of 12-color brushes. Her parents made an agreement with her that if she got all A's in the exam, she would buy her a set. In order to get that set of brushes, Ms. Andrea Jung locked herself in her room to review her lessons and missed many birthday parties and tennis matches. At the end of that year, she handed in a report card with all A's to her parents-she finally got the 12-color brushes she dreamed of.
