A synopsis of Italy's plot

1964, Ross, a singer in a nightclub in Shanghai, met Australian sailor Bill and they decided to get married. So Ross came to Australia with two children. However, their marriage did not last long. After the divorce, Ross began to work in a Chinese restaurant and raised two children alone. In China restaurant, Ross met China chef Joe, and they became lovers. Joe is an illegal immigrant, much younger than her. Soon, Joe began to feel the pressure of this relationship, and the relationship between Ross and Joe began to deteriorate. When Ross 16-year-old daughter fell in love with Joe, the relationship between Ross and her daughter faced a test.
