Is it difficult to immigrate to America?
If you graduate from college, you don't have to go back to China immediately after graduation. You can continue your postgraduate studies with a student visa. But I guess you want to emigrate.
Students with F 1 visa can have 12 months of optional practical training after graduation, or choose short courses. During this period, you have a work permit and can work in any company you can find, provided that your work is related to your major. This 12 month is basically unrestricted and you can stay in the United States.
OPT 12 months later, if you don't have a work visa for H- 1B, you must return to China unless you return to an American school as an international student.
Before OPT ends, you need to find a job. Employers can change your student visa F- 1 to an H- 1B work visa, and you can legally work in the United States. Now it is applied by American employers in April every year, and it will take effect in June of the year after it is obtained. You can only work after it takes effect. The requirement is a bachelor's degree in related major. It should be said that there are still difficulties. In recent years, the American economy has been depressed, and it is not easy to find a job. With the H- 1B work visa, you can apply for a green card.
If you go to the United States to study in the third grade and graduate from the university, it should be said that it is not so difficult to find a job and apply for a green card, but applying for a green card depends on your luck. H- 1b is valid for 3 years and can only be extended once. In other words, you must be able to apply for a green card within six years.
Of course, there are other ways, such as getting married with an American and getting a green card for marriage immediately. You can also apply for BH. Of course, this is another topic.
