Islam is all over the world. Why are there no Islamic countries in South America?

From a global perspective, Islam is one of the most widely distributed religions. There are 57 Muslim countries alone, which are widely distributed in Asia, Europe and Africa. Almost every continent has it, but as the United States, there are no Muslim countries. Why? There are three main reasons.

First, the problem of distance.

We can see that Islam spread from the middle east to the outside and gradually extended to the periphery after it came into being in the 7th century. Generally speaking, it is based on the distance. The closer it is to the Middle East, the faster it will expand. So you can see that neighboring North Africa and Central Asia were the first to spread, and their influence was deep, direct and totally Muslim.

Second, religious conflicts.

We can see that the most important thing about the spread of Islam is that it started in the region with the weakest religious attributes. This is true in the Middle East and North Africa, but in Europe and America, which are basically European immigrants, Christianity and Catholicism are typical sites. Therefore, under the mutual resistance of religions, Islam has encountered a powerful shield in the United States and it is difficult to expand, which is one of the main reasons why there are so few Muslims in the United States.

Third, the American factor.

The United States is the most powerful country in the world, and it has always been very defensive and hostile to Muslims. Most parts of the United States are regarded as their own backyard by the United States, so the overall prevention is more extreme. Therefore, under the strong intervention of the United States, it is difficult for Muslims to enter the United States.
