General situation of Taihe reservoir

The reservoir was built in 1960- 1972, with a drainage area of 780 square kilometers, a total storage capacity of 654.38+66 million cubic meters and a storage capacity of 654.38+13 million cubic meters. The reservoir dam is located at the western foot of Jinji Mountain, starting from Jinji Mountain in the north, bordering Maanshan in the south, Qinglong Mountain in the east and Baoyan Mountain in the west. It is about 10 km long from north to south and about 3 km wide from east to west. The upstream control basin covers an area of about 780 square kilometers with a total storage capacity of 65,438+66 million cubic meters. It is one of the large reservoirs in China. The whole reservoir area is surrounded by mountains, with pleasant scenery and clear water quality. It is not only a large water conservancy facility, but also a scenic tourist attraction.

Taihe Reservoir was completed in September, 1972, with an area of 9,366 mu and 8,690 immigrants. It is the largest reservoir in the city and the only unpolluted water source in the city at present. It has been designated as a drinking water source protection site by the Zibo Municipal Government. At the same time, it is also the largest manpower project in the city so far.
