? 1958, inspired by the general line of "building socialism with all one's strength, striving for the upper reaches and saving land as soon as possible", the whole country made a great leap forward, and Yueqing set off a water conservancy construction boom with the spirit of "moving mountains and transforming mountains and rivers". In September, Danxi Reservoir and more than a dozen reservoirs in this county were launched at the same time, and they were in full swing. On the day of graduation ceremony, the scene was spectacular and crowded with people. Migrant workers were transferred from Hongqiao and Furong District to attend the ceremony. Migrant workers are militarized and organized by regiments and battalions. The square is neat and majestic, gathering their souls and becoming civilized people.

? I am a sophomore in Hongqiao Middle School. The school worked part-time and organized us to take part in voluntary labor in Danxi Reservoir. Because the students are about 15 or 16 years old, there is no heavy manual labor on the construction site, so we can only carry baskets and ram loess for migrant workers who carry loads, help migrant workers who pull carts, or cheer for migrant workers who compete in labor, broadcast good deeds with earth speakers, and our students' immature songs and voices ring everywhere on the construction site. The leaders on the construction site called us a dynamic propaganda team. Because it is difficult to stay and eat in the construction site, we start from Hongqiao Town every morning, bring our own food and drink some boiled water at noon, and walk back to Hong Zhong after work.

? For more than a month, together with thousands of migrant workers, we witnessed the warm scene of the magnificent mountains and rivers on the construction site. The broad masses of cadres and the masses have always been full of political enthusiasm, carrying forward the revolutionary spirit of "one is not afraid of hardship, and the other is not afraid of death", seizing every minute and working hard, and many touching stories and advanced model figures have emerged, and some even sacrificed their lives for reservoir construction. Although the labor in Danxi Reservoir is short-lived, it has given us unforgettable memories, benefited a lot and felt a lot, which will benefit us for life.

? The construction of Danxi Reservoir is difficult and the conditions are limited. Migrant workers slept on the construction site, set up tents and spread straw mats, and dozens of people crowded into a tent. Migrant workers in villages (brigades) near Danxi Commune go to work in the morning, go home at night, run back and forth every day and bring their own Chinese food.

? Tents and huts are like steamers in summer, biting, bitten by mosquitoes, making it difficult to sleep; There is no heating facility in winter, and the washing water is often bitterly cold. When the wind blows, people wake up with dust on their faces. I ate the pot rice provided by the commune, including rice, porridge, sweet potato soup and potatoes. There is not enough food, even eating bran cakes and drinking boiled water to starve, and working hard for the construction of the reservoir day after day. Without any mechanical equipment, we used the simplest tools-carts, picks, shovels, hoes and shoulder poles to create the miracle of "man conquers nature". Clean up the dam foundation in winter, the weather is cold and freezing, and water accumulates at the foot of the dam. Migrant workers must go into the water to clean the foundation and move the sand out. At this moment, how many volunteers jumped into the water desperately, and the migrant workers took turns to work in batches, day and night, and finally completed the task of clearing the foundation. Ni, a migrant worker, made technological innovation with his sense of responsibility and intelligence, and invented the winch, which poured the yellow mud on the mountain like a golden waterfall, and the work efficiency was improved dozens of times. The Danxi Commune and the group tried their best to build the reservoir, and the nearby brigade made room for migrant workers to stay, so their family huddled together and had no regrets. All the reservoir immigrants left their homes, bid farewell to their homeland and settled in different places, which made a good start for the smooth implementation of the reservoir project. It embodies the good fashion of Danxi people's selfless support, active dedication and changing the face of mountains and rivers.

Danxi Reservoir has brought good news to people in Hongqiao area, which can stop flood and store water, regulate water flow, prevent flood and drought, and form a complete water conservancy network for drainage and drought-resistant irrigation. The 80,000 mu paddy field in Hongqiao Plain bid farewell to the fate of relying on the weather to eat. The reservoir will lay a solid foundation for supplying 65438+100000 cubic meters of tap water every day in the future. It really controls water for the people and benefits thousands of families.

Its birthplace is the upper reaches of Danxi Reservoir, which originated from Yanming at the junction of Yongle, hence the name Xigang. Xigang used to be called "Lanxi". "Cai Lanxi" cannot store water. If it rains, it will flood; if it doesn't rain, it will dry. Hongqiao Plain often suffers from disasters. There are droughts and floods in summer and autumn, roads are often built at the bottom of the river, typhoons hit, and there are often no barns. When the flood is imminent, the farmers complain. As the saying goes, "Guanyin's great immortal power is infinite, and the vegetable basket carries water to the west." Guanyin Bodhisattva had to "show great power" in order to make the food basket carry water. If you don't believe in immortals, the people are the contemporary Guanyin, and any miracle will happen on earth.

At that time, four or five hundred students from Hongqiao Middle School all participated in the reservoir construction, and now they are all nearly 80 years old. At that time, most of the migrant workers' builders passed away and the survivors were old, but their achievements will last forever and be brilliant forever! We should remember them, sing for them and make a biography for them. Today, 60 years later, the reservoir stands tall. What if they see a beautiful panorama of the reservoir today? I believe I will be proud of my contribution in those years. Only by cherishing the beautiful life now can our descendants be worthy of these predecessors!

? Floods come once in a hundred years. After three overhauls, the reservoir has been improved day by day and managed by future generations.

? At present, the benefits of Danxi Reservoir are becoming increasingly significant. Irrigation, flood control and water supply have been praised by the people, but also become a landscape. There are a lot of tourists on holidays, and I have revisited many times, and I feel a lot. I am glad that I shed a drop of sweat for the construction of Danxi Reservoir. ?
