Bati Hydropower Station is the seventh power station in the 22nd development plan of three reservoirs recommended in the Report on Hydropower Planning Adjustment of Dadu River Mainstream in Sichuan Province approved by the General Office of Sichuan Provincial Government in 2003, with Jinchuan Hydropower Station in the upstream and Danba Hydropower Station in the downstream.
