After investigation, almost all the residents of Weita immigrated to Sichuan from Huguang in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. Surround the tower, that is, the tower around the mountainside. Is there really a tower around it? Ma Dingfu, a 78-year-old villager, said that there was indeed a tower in Weita Village a long time ago. This tower used to be in the center of Weita, and now only the base is left. According to the elders, Weita village suffered from locusts in that year, and the whole village paid for the tower to prevent the locust plague. The tower was later destroyed in the mid-1960s. We can see that the base of the tower is still well preserved, and the remaining bricks are carved with exquisite patterns. According to experts' research, the tower foundation around the tower is just in the center of the "big ear" and can also be regarded as the geographical center around the tower. How did the people around the tower accurately calculate the center of the tower at that time? This is an interesting question.
