There is no need to pay a deposit, but you need to provide supporting documents during the interview to prove that you have sufficient funds to cover all expenses during your stay in the United States.

Proofs of assets that need to be brought during the interview:

1. Current income certificate, tax bill, real estate certificate or business property certificate, and asset certificate.

2. Students, please bring transcripts and degree certificates/diplomas, as well as bank statements, fixed deposit slips and other financial proofs.

3. For those who are employed, please bring the employment certificate issued by the unit and the salary slips for the past three months.

4. Entrepreneurs and company executives, please bring proof of your company’s position and salary.

If you need to apply for a tourist visa, you should pay an application fee of US$160 and submit the following materials:

1. Non-immigrant visa electronic application form ( DS-160).

2. A valid passport for travel to the United States must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended period of stay in the United States (except for countries with special agreements that enjoy exemptions). If the passport contains more than one person, each visa applicant will need to submit a separate application.

3. One (1) 2-inch x 2-inch (5.1 cm x 5.1 cm) photo taken within the last six months.

4. In addition to the above materials, you should also present an interview appointment letter to prove that you have made an appointment for an interview through this service channel. You can also provide other supporting documents to the visa officer.
