Wait for NVC to send you a new case number, starting with GUZ, and then you can go to CEAC to check the progress through this new number. At the same time, NVC will ask you to fill in the DS-26 1 form and give you two bills, one is $88 and the other is $230. The two bills may be at the same time or in batches. This step is P2.5 Note: If you want to apply for electronic processing (it will be faster than the traditional one), please send an email to NVC to apply for electronic processing (in a certain format) before you know the GUZ number. After approving your electronic application, you will get a case number that starts with "Guo", and the number will be invalid, and then you will pay 230 yuan to get a new case number.

When NVC confirms the receipt of the two fees paid by you, it will send you P3, asking you to fill in the DS-260 form and prepare the financial guarantee materials I-864, the tax bill for the last three years, W2, the employer's letter, etc. , notarize the unpaid fines, and then send the materials to NVC by email.

When NVC confirms receipt of your P3 materials, it will write back to inform you that the case has been transferred to Guangzhou, and then wait for P4, that is, the embassy will send a letter to the beneficiary for face-to-face interview, and then make an appointment for face-to-face interview. At the present speed, the whole electronic journey takes 9- 14 months, compared with the traditional 12- 18 months.

In addition, if the electronic processing of P2.5 is not handled, P3 means that all the materials submitted must be original and then printed by P4, so it will take 2-4 months to clear customs. Other processes are the same as electronic processes. Many immigration lawyers and intermediaries do not apply for electronicization. If you want to hire a lawyer, please ask in advance.
