Wenzhou Oujiang

Wenzhou Oujiang River is the only river that flows into the sea in the East China Sea of China, and the second largest river in Zhejiang, which is located in the south of Zhejiang.

First, the trend of the main stream:

1. Oujiang River, named Shenjiang in ancient times, was once named Yongning River, Yongjia River and Wenjiang River. Baishanzu Pot Cap, which originated at the junction of Qingyuan and Longquan counties, flows through Longquan, Yunhe, Lishui, Qingtian, Yongjia, Ouhai, Lucheng and Longwan, leaving Wenzhou Bay and entering the East China Sea. It spans 18 counties (cities) in Lishui, Jinhua, Wenzhou and Taizhou.

2. The main stream is 384 kilometers long and the drainage area is 18,1 square kilometers, making it the second longest river in Zhejiang Province. The branches and tributaries of Oujiang River are dendritic, mostly parallel to the direction of mountains. The terrain on both sides of the valley is steep, the precipitation converges quickly, the beaches are tortuous, and the floods surge and fall sharply. Below Wenxi is the tidal reach, with 1-2 tons of ships at ordinary times and 5 tons of seagoing ships at the tide. It is 14.9 kilometers from Wenzhou to Toutou, and 3, tons of seagoing vessels can enter and leave during the tide.

3. The main stream of Oujiang River is divided into three sections from the source to the estuary, namely Longquan River, Daxi River and Oujiang River.

4. Longquan Creek originates from the northwest foot of Guomaojian in Qingyuan Town, and its upstream main stream is Meixi, which is called Longquan Creek only after they meet at the head of Huangnan Village. It flows eastward through towns such as Chatian, Lanju and Longyuan Town in Longquan City, and enters Yunhe County via Daotai Township (the section from Wutongkou to Wuxi is the Jinshuitan Reservoir Area).

5. Out of the tight water beach, Yunyun Stream is injected from the right bank and flows northeast to Shitang; Out of Shitang Reservoir, to Dagangtou, and Songyinxi is injected from the left bank. The flow is 197.5 kilometers, and the basin area is 3566 square kilometers. The natural drop is about 116.5m, and the average gradient is 5.6‰.

2. Historical allusions:

1. One of the ancient "Kyushu". Shangshu Yugong: "Huai and Hai are only Yangzhou." Zhou Li Zhi Fang, "Southeast is called Yangzhou." Erya Shidi, "Jiangnan is called Yangzhou." "Huai" refers to the Huaihe River, "sea" refers to the East China Sea, and "Jiang" refers to the Yangtze River.

2. Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty was appointed as one of the thirteen secretariat departments. The jurisdiction is quite today's Huaihe River in Anhui.
