Are Hakkas descended from the Han people in the north?
Yes, Han people migrated three times, including Yongjia Rebellion, Huang Chao Rebellion and Jingkang Rebellion. During the war, they migrated from the Central Plains of China to the south. The earliest immigrants to the south became Guangfu and Chaoshan circles. Because of the limited land, the immigrants who arrived later found it difficult to settle down as guests, so they called themselves Hakka.
Generally speaking, Hakkas migrated from the Central Plains and are descendants of the northern Han nationality.
