Where does Shangyu Village belong?

Shangyu Village is located 4 kilometers west of Xiangyuan County, Changzhi City, and is under the administrative jurisdiction of Guhan Town. The village faces south and is located in the valley, with superior geographical position and convenient transportation.

3 19 households, 1230 people, 43 people in party member, divided into 8 groups and 4 natural villages. The population is basically stable, and the villagers are mainly planting. The arable land area of the village is 2530 mu, and the total grain output is 654.38+0.37 thousand Jin, mainly planting corn and wheat, and the net income of farmers is more than 5800 yuan.

Shangyu Village has a long history and culture. Ancient Taoist buildings mainly include Jade Emperor Temple, Taishang Laojun Temple, Longwang Temple, Penglai Pavilion and Wenchang Pavilion, covering an area of 8,868 square meters and a construction area of 3,756 square meters. In addition, Baxian Lake, a water resource, is integrated with historical and cultural buildings and becomes a scenic tourist area of Baxian Lake.

Shangyu Village is adjacent to Yongan Community, Nantian Zhang Cun, Chaoyang Community, Taoshu Village, Houzhuang Village, Changxing Community, Yangzehe Village, Xigang Village, Shihuiyao Village, Cui Village, Dong Fan Village, Xichuan Village, Li Jialing Village and Southeast Shangcun Village.

On August 26th, 2020, patriotic health campaign committee, Shanxi Province named Shangyu Village as the Health Village of Shanxi Province from 2020 to 2022.

Shangyu Huang Yu Temple

Shangyu Huang Yu Temple is located in Shangyu Village, Guhan Town, Xiangyuan County. Sitting facing south, it is 3 1 m long from north to south and 26 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of about 806 square meters. The date of building the museum is unknown, and the existing main hall structure is left over from the Qing Dynasty. Once in the courtyard layout, there are mountain gates (newly built) and main halls on the central axis, with the following sides.

There are many tourist attractions near Shangyu Village, such as Jade Emperor Temple in Shangyu, Wulong Temple in xiang yuan, Dongyue Temple in xiang yuan, Zixu Temple in Xigang, Jade Emperor Temple in Houcun and General Murong Temple. There are also some specialties, such as xiang yuan handmade noodles, Shangdang bacon, Changzhi black goose strips, Xiangzi old coarse cloth and shortbread.
