As for how Australian immigrants earn money, the data released by the Bureau of Statistics shows that Australian skilled immigrants generally have corporate guarantees and earn income from employers; Family immigrants generally make money by investing; Humanitarian immigrants are mostly self-employed.

The data shows that although humanitarian immigrants only account for 4% of immigrant taxpayers, the proportion of owning their own enterprises exceeds that of other immigrant types 10%.
