The Historical Origin of Yutangchun Liquor

Ancient Hong Tong was under the jurisdiction of Golden State. According to "Hongdong County Records", "Yulu wine comes out of Hongdong, and Yulu is also called good wine." Yulu wine brewed by living spring in Subao Village, Hongdong County in Song Dynasty was exported to Youzhou, Yuzhou and Yongzhou. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the wine industry in Yulu was more prosperous. There is a folk proverb that says: "Lotus City, Huai Village and Su San Prison are in the middle, and wine is everywhere." It can be seen that Yulu wine was famous in the world as early as the "Big Sophora Tree" and "Yutangchun" in Hongtong County.

During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1403 ~ 1424), the government set up camp in "Sophora japonica" in Hongtong County for many times, collected residents and immigrated to Shandong, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan and coastal areas. The residents gathered here remembered "Sophora japonica" and left with tears in their eyes. During the reign of Ming Lide (1506 ~ 152 1), "Yutangchun's unjust case" occurred. The prostitute Su San (stage name Yu Tangchun) met your son Wang Jinlong in Beijing. Later, Susan was sold to a wealthy businessman in Hongdong County, Shanxi Province as a concubine and was sentenced to death. Wang Jinlong took the senior high school entrance examination, served as an inspector in the Eight Houses, went to Taiyuan to review the case, rehabilitated himself, and married Yutangchun. This story is widely circulated by folk novels and operas. Later generations took "Yutangchun" as the name of Yulu wine, which was deeply loved by the people.
