According to the US "Business Insider" report, Credit Suisse recently surveyed the demographics and economic conditions of each World Cup participating country.

The survey results show huge differences. Below is a selection of some data from the report.

Gross domestic product per capita at purchasing power parity: United States (USD 53,101), C?te d'Ivoire*** (USD 1,818).

Population growth rate: Nigeria (annual population growth rate of 2.8%), Croatia (annual negative population growth rate of 0.4%).

Average life expectancy: Japan (83.5 years), C?te d’Ivoire*** (50.5 years).

Fertility rate: Nigeria (6 children per woman), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, South Korea (1.3 children per woman).

Net migration rate: Switzerland (net in-migration rate 7.97‰), Mexico (net out-migration rate 1.98‰)

Football is a sport that does not require many facilities. Therefore, national financial resources have little impact on player quality.
