Achievements of Baishizhai project

Baishi village was identified as the fifth poverty alleviation project village of the World Bank. In recent years, * * * has built a production road12km, 4 production bridges and 6.8km cement road, which has realized household tap water supply, transformed the rural power grid, installed solar street lamps in the village, and built the village head (temple) square garden, beautifying the living environment of the villagers! 2011110 World Bank officials and leaders of poverty relief offices in various provinces, cities and counties in China came to our village to inspect and guide the implementation of World Bank projects. The fifth poverty alleviation project of the World Bank is a large-scale international cooperation project aimed at poverty-stricken areas in the new period. In the past year, under the care, support and guidance of provincial and municipal poverty relief offices, our county has conscientiously implemented the core concept of "community-led, mass participation", persisted in publicizing and mobilizing the masses and empowering the people. The people's awareness of participation, enthusiasm for project construction and decision-making level have been significantly enhanced, and the self-organization, self-management and self-development capabilities of the poor have been further improved. While the infrastructure of the project village has been greatly improved, the people's mental outlook has also undergone profound changes, which has played a positive role in promoting poverty alleviation and development in the county.

Longxian county is a national key poverty alleviation county. In recent years, the county committees and governments have taken poverty alleviation and development as an important starting point for building "one city, three counties" and implementing "five breakthroughs", adhered to the development-oriented poverty alleviation policy, focused on the fifth poverty alleviation project of the World Bank, and aimed at improving the quality of life of the poor. They have successively invested 23.86 million yuan to implement 78 key poverty alleviation villages. 45 drinking water projects for people and livestock were built, 65 school buildings/kloc-0 were newly built and maintained, 6,748 households 1499 were relocated, 780,000 yuan of poverty alleviation loans were given to households, 5 leading industrialized enterprises were supported, practical agricultural technology10700 people were trained, and labor skills were trained/kloc. In 2009, the per capita net income of farmers in the county reached 3,799 yuan, an increase of 720 yuan over the previous year. The poverty-stricken population has been reduced from 47,400 to 30,000, the pace of poverty alleviation has been further accelerated, and the production and living conditions have been significantly improved.

The State and Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office listed our county as the fifth poverty alleviation project county of the World Bank, which is the concern, love and trust of the World Bank, poverty alleviation departments of China provinces and cities and leaders at all levels. The implementation of the project will certainly play a positive role in improving the production and living conditions of the poor population and promoting poverty alleviation and development in our county. The total planned investment of the World Bank Phase V project in our county is 3 1.98 million yuan, involving 6 towns and 25 administrative villages in the county. After the provincial pilot project kick-off meeting in March 2009, the fifth World Bank poverty alleviation project in our county was launched in six approved pilot villages. We set up a special account for the project in time to implement the matching funds. At present, 2.2 million yuan of municipal matching funds have been put in place, and 2.59 million yuan of county matching funds have also been put in place. Poverty alleviation projects in six pilot villages in the county started construction in an all-round way, with 48 kilometers of new roads, 4 bridges 1 seat and 4 drinking water projects, and 8 kilometers of rural roads were repaired in combination with flood control and disaster relief. Zaolin village Xihe Bridge and Dingjiagou Village, Wenshui Town have completed the project bidding, with an investment of 3.52 million yuan. The project construction is progressing smoothly.

The investigation team consists of World Bank officials (World Bank China Poverty Alleviation Project Manager) Wu Li, Fu Jinhua (Spanish, female), Wang Chaogang (the State Council Foreign Investment Office) and Wang Anming (Director of Longxian Foreign Investment Office). They went deep into fields, roads and bridges to check the implementation of the project and gave positive comments on the implementation of the project.
