Jin Lan Town, located 35km west of Hengyang County, is the west gate of Hengyang. East of Daan and Kuzong Township; Jingtou Town in the south, Shuidongjiang Township in Shaodong County in the west, Qulan Township and Huamen Town in Shuangfeng County in the north. Total area 154.8 square kilometers, paddy field 39254 mu, dry land 5694 mu, water surface 10650 mu, woodland165438 mu, and forest coverage rate of 36%. It has jurisdiction over 56 administrative villages, 2 neighborhood committees, 727 groups and 2 1 277 households with a total population of 70057. It is the second largest township in Hengyang County. Jin Lan Temple is the political, economic and cultural center of the town, and the office address of the town government is Jufeng Road 15, Miaomiao, Jin Lan.
