Can foreigners run for president, senator or governor when they become American citizens?
You can't run for president, senator and governor. No problem.
According to the Constitution of the United States, the president must be at least 35 years old and have lived in the United States for more than 14 years. He must also be an American-born citizen or an American citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution (see: Constitution of the United States of America). Only the president and vice president of American public office must be American citizens at birth.
