(2) Submit an I-526 application.
The information mentioned in the preceding paragraph, together with the relevant investment plan of the investment plan, shall be remitted by the immigration lawyer to the US Immigration Service.
(3) The US Immigration Bureau reviews the investment situation.
Upon receipt of the complete application documents, USCIS will send a notice of acceptance to the applicant's authorized lawyer. After the applicant's investment status is approved, the approval notice will be sent to the applicant and his authorized lawyer. This review time depends on the workload of the US Immigration Service. According to previous lawyers' practical application experience, a decision can be made in about two months.
(4) NVC file processing
After the US Immigration Bureau issues the approval notice, it will forward the entire application document to the National Visa Center (NVC) under the jurisdiction of the State Council. At this time, if the visa quota of the application is in the "current" state, the National Visa Center will give the application a number (case number) and notify the applicant's authorized lawyer to pay the visa fee. The visa fee for each applicant is 400 US dollars. After receiving the visa fee, the National Visa Center began to handle the application case, and sent an instruction package to the applicant's authorized lawyer within a month or so, informing him to download the DS-230 Part I form (application for immigrant visa and foreigner registration form DS-230 Part I) from the Internet and return to the National Visa Center.
After the authorized lawyer completes DS-230 (one for the main applicant and one for the relatives involved) for the applicant, he will immediately send all the first part forms together with some designated documents back to the National Visa Center, and then he can start other materials preparation before the interview (see Article 5 for details). After receiving the form materials sent back by the applicant, the National Visa Center will file the documents for trial, and after processing, send the whole case to the American consulate in the country where the applicant is located, and send a letter to inform the applicant. The whole case is now in the stage of preparing for an interview.
(5) Preparation for the immigrant visa interview of the American Consulate General in Guangzhou.
The US Consulate General in Guangzhou will not accept the application for immigrant visa until the National Visa Center has completed the relevant trial procedures. After receiving the immigration application documents from the National Visa Center, the Immigration Visa Office of Guangzhou Consulate will start the pre-interview review, and then make an appointment for the applicant to apply for an interview after the visa number according to the scheduling category. Since the Immigration Visa Office handles thousands of cases every month, if the visa schedule of the applicant has arrived, it usually takes about five months for the Guangzhou Consulate to set the date for visa interview for the applicant.
After the visa interview date is confirmed by the Immigration Visa Office of the US Consulate General in Guangzhou, the interview notice and interview information file bag will be mailed to the applicant. The envelope will be sent one month before the interview date. The file bag contains the documents needed for the interview, the physical examination form and the contact information of the designated hospital for physical examination and vaccination.
(6) Physical examination instructions
Investors can go to the hospital designated by Guangzhou Consulate for physical examination after they have prepared the relevant documents needed for immigration visa. All family members who intend to apply for an immigrant visa, including children, regardless of age, should undergo a physical examination. Applicants can go to the following designated hospitals for physical examination. The US Consulate in Guangzhou does not accept medical reports from non-designated hospitals. Applicants must go to the hospital for medical examination on the date of visa interview arranged by Guangzhou Consulate.
