Why do Northeasters think that Northeastern dialect is Mandarin?
Let's start with northeastern mandarin. northeastern mandarin is the dominant dialect in Northeast China. After the Qing soldiers entered the customs, the residents in Northeast China were mainly Manchu residents and Han residents. Manchu mainly speaks Manchu, while Han (including the Eight Banners of the Han Dynasty) mainly speaks Liaodong dialect in China. With the passage of time and the increase of communication, Manchu and Han people began to use Liaodong dialect as the main communication language. With the influx of Han people from Shandong and Hebei, Liaodong dialect is also changing, gradually dividing into small pieces from south to north. Compared with Liaodong dialect in the late Ming Dynasty, northeastern mandarin added some Manchu words (because Manchus in Northeast China are mostly lower-class civilians, while those in Beijing are mostly upper-class aristocrats, so Manchu words in Beijing dialect are very different from those in Northeast China, where upper-class people enjoy luxury, while Northeast dialect is more articles for production and living of lower-class people), which is also Jiaoliao Mandarin and Luji dialect brought by Shandong and Hebei immigrants. At the beginning of its formation, the users were mainly Han people (the Mandarin in Beijing was mainly Manchu aristocrats and Manchu Han bureaucrats), so although northeastern mandarin spoke with a tongue sound, it was far less used than the Mandarin in Beijing, and many words in the Mandarin in Beijing and later were Northeast Pinghua.
In this way, the relationship between Beijing Mandarin, the predecessor and foundation of Putonghua, and northeastern mandarin, the mainstream dialect in Northeast China (Jiaoliao Mandarin and Jilu Mandarin in Northeast China are now eroded by Putonghua northeastern mandarin, and gradually close to Putonghua, with a tendency to disappear) is relatively clear. That is, "born from the same root" is a dialect in Liaoning and Shenyang in the Ming Dynasty.
