It's been almost twenty years now, and the fate is not mature. Over the years, Li Muyuan, a layman, made a wish that the village of Gaimituo in Singapore was full of obstacles. I had to build a seven-story building on a vacant lot in the forest of Buddhist temples in Singapore to provide these old people who read Buddhism with shelter. Fellow initiates at home and abroad know this good thing, and many people donate money. But Singapore is a small country with a dense population, so immigration restrictions are very strict. It is not easy for ordinary people to get permanent residency in Singapore! Therefore, if you want to do Tommy Village, you'd better do it in your own country. This is easier! Every country and region needs talents, especially young people to work for the society, so it is more difficult to provide for the elderly, so there are more restrictions on the migration of the elderly. When I went to Australia, I also talked with the mayor about my thoughts and my wishes for many years. The mayor was very happy to hear that. He wants me to study and talk with them, and so does he. I speak very well. If I have the heart to do it, I will help wholeheartedly. I also asked the mayor to be the first village head of Tommy Village.

We hope to set an example, because developing countries all over the world have done a lot of welfare for the elderly, and we have been to many places, but we pay less attention to the spiritual life of the elderly, which is very regrettable. We hope to do our best in spirit and material, so that the elderly living in this community can truly feel that this is the happiest day in his life, and our goal has been achieved.
