Wushan county is located in the northeast of Chongqing, the heart of the Three Gorges reservoir area. It is connected to Badong County in Hubei Province in the east, fengjie county in the west, Jianshi County in Hubei Province in the south, Wuxi County and Shennongjia Forest Region in the north. Historical Background During the Warring States Period, Wushan County was the gateway to the western border of Chu State, and the county territory belonged to Wu County. In the 30th year of Qin Xianggong (in the first 227 years), Wuxian was removed from the county (governing present-day dachang town), which belonged to the State of Qin, and later changed to Nanjun, with Wuming County as the starting county. In the third year of Emperor Kai (583), Wushan County was named after adding the word "mountain" to Wuxian County. Rare plants include kiwi fruit, wild soybean, clover, kumquat, mulberry, magnolia bark, camphor, Chongyang, ginkgo, red bean, Davidia involucrata, Cephalotaxus fortunei and Eucommia ulmoides.

There are Pinus massoniana, Pinus armandii, Cedar, Cunninghamia lanceolata, Tung oil tree, ponytail, citrus and sumac. Wushan has a vast grassy mountain, lush grass and rich animal feed, which is suitable for vigorously developing animal husbandry. Animal husbandry is dominated by pigs and sheep, and it is the base of goats. Aquatic products are mainly fish farming in ponds and reservoirs, including herring, grass carp and silver carp. Industrial resources Wushan county has key enterprises such as cigarette factory, thermal power plant, cement factory and chemical general factory. Cigarette factory is the pillar industry of Wushan. Wushan Cement Plant is a counterpart support joint plant in Guangdong Province, with a history of three years and an annual output of 6,543,800 tons. Cement quality is one of the designated products of the project.

The scenic spots and historical sites in tourist counties mainly include: Longgupo Ancient Human Fossil Site in Damiao, where human incisor fossils dating from 201-204 million years ago were found, which is the earliest human fossil found in China. Daxi site is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River at the east exit of Kuixia, on the third terrace where it meets Daxi River. Neolithic tombs are concentrated in the northwest of the river. There are hanging coffins at the north entrance of Wu Bai Gorge in the Three Gorges of Daning River, and Feiyun Cave in Cuidi Gorge, which are the remains of ancient Ba people's life. There is the ancient plank road of Daning River connecting ancient Shu, Ba and Chu, and the Qingshui Cave where Lu You, a great poet in the Song Dynasty, once rested in Shu, which is now called "Lu You Cave". There is a pocket-sized ancient town factory, which preserves the complete "Ming and Qing style" ancient buildings. Wuxia, Daning River, and Maldives River are fantastic. Wushan county plans to build Wushan ape-man museum, Wushan cultural center, Wushan folk museum and Wushan peasant food museum. Wushan is being declared a national tourist attraction.
