The Historical Evolution of Tiehe Township

Tiehe Reclamation Area was built in 1957, Tiehe Commune was changed to 1972, and Township was changed to 1984. 1997, with an area of 50. 1 km2 and a population of 1. 1 10,000, governs five administrative villages: Dongjiang, Chicheng, Dongyang, Donghong and Manglietia.

Tiehe Reclamation Site is located at Guanzui Street (now destroyed) from 1960 to 1963, Tiehe Chicheng Mountain from 1969, and Tiehe Gate from 1969 to 1973. 1983, the factory invested180,000 yuan to build a factory office building on Chicheng Mountain, and 1984 was put into use at the beginning. 1986, Tiehe Comprehensive Reclamation Site was reported to the county party committee and the county government for approval. The site of Tiehe Comprehensive Reclamation Site was named Tiehe Street, and Tiehe Street Organization was established. In the same year, Tiehe Comprehensive Reclamation Field invested 400,000 yuan to lay the first street with cement concrete pavement in Tiehe Street, named Chicheng Road. The street is 986m long and 7m wide, and the sidewalks on both sides are1.8m wide.

Zifu Road, Tiehe Street 1989 completed. This street is 246 meters long and 6 meters wide. 1995, Tiehe comprehensive reclamation field invested 480,000 yuan to lay the second cement concrete pavement street of Tiehe Street, named Tiechang Road, with a length of1166m, a width of 8m and sidewalks on both sides of1.8m..

1998 after the catastrophic flood disaster occurred in the farm of Tiehe Comprehensive Reclamation Area, according to the unified planning of the city, county and farm, it was decided that Tiehewei1team (that is, natural village) would emigrate to build a town and move to Tiehe Street to build a new village. There are 276 households and 276 buildings in Xincun Town, covering an area of 27,600 square meters. Xincun Town has a street around the village, a central street and 10 small streets, totaling 2230 meters.

The completion of villages and towns around Tiehe River has expanded the area and specifications of Tiehe Street by two fifths.

With the concern and attention of the party and the government and the help of all walks of life, Tiehe Zhoufang Village was built. All walks of life in Guangdong Province donated 2.662 million yuan, and the resettlement office of the higher government allocated 3.036 million yuan. The new village spent 3.69 million yuan on leveling soil foundation, electrifying, building water towers, paving streets and other infrastructure and auxiliary projects, and the villagers spent 2.2 million yuan on building houses. In 2002, Xingmao Road in Tiehe Street was completed. The street is 263 meters wide and 9 meters wide. In the middle section of Xingmao, Tiehe Comprehensive Reclamation Farm invested 320,000 yuan to build Tiehe Farmers' Market. The market is 58 meters long and 0/6 meters wide, with an area of 928 square meters and 30 booths.

From 2004 to 2005, Tiehe Comprehensive Reclamation Farm successively laid cement concrete in all streets of Tiehe Street, Xingmao Road, Zifu Road and Zhoufang Xincun Town, with a total length of 2.8 kilometers, including sewer and sidewalk engineering cost 1 130 yuan.

Tiehe Street is a young township head, with a street width of 2.1.08km, an area of1.744km2, a population of 44 16 and 1086 households. It is a new socialist society with many commercial service outlets, complete categories, beautiful environment and fresh air.
