Scientists say that these spectrometer data are recorded by studying the reflected light reflected from the surface of the moon. Some wavelengths of light are absorbed by some chemicals, so when the reflected light is received, the lunar mineralogy imager can identify which substances exist. However, in order to remove the signal of water in pyroclastic flow, researchers must carefully eliminate the thermal radiation interference caused by solar surface heating. Thermal radiation occurs at the wavelength we need to find water, so we can say that water exists with certainty and confidence.

Scientists say that more and more data prove that there is water on the moon, but emphasize that there is only 0.05% water on the moon, and there is a lot on or near the surface. If human beings want to establish a long-term survival base on the moon, they must develop efficient water intake instruments to make them produce drinking water and fuel sustainably and promote space agriculture.
