My first transfer trip alone: ??starting from Shanghai, going to Seoul, South Korea, to Los Angeles, the United States, and finally to San Diego, the United States.

1. Is it an Asiana AA connecting ticket? That means paying one airline instead of two different airlines?

2. If it is a connecting trip. At the Shanghai Asiana counter, you should be able to transfer your checked baggage directly to SanDiego. If not, it means it is not a connecting flight. You have to ask Asiana how to handle the luggage in Seoul. Where can I get the AA boarding pass?

3. Assuming it is a joint trip. I personally have no experience in connecting flights in Seoul, but the process should be the same as transferring in Japan. You get off the plane, follow the transfer instructions, walk around, and maybe go through security check again. Then look at the screen, find the boarding gate and wait for the LA flight. You may use the same boarding pass, or you may have already issued an AA boarding pass in Shanghai. No need to collect luggage. The airline will transfer.

4. When you arrive in LA, the I-94 form and customs declaration form will be issued on the plane. Fill in English. You can now download I-94 from Baidu to see how to fill it out.

5. LA is your first stop when you arrive in the United States. When you get off the plane, go to the Immigration Bureau (Immigration) with everyone to queue up visitors/Foreigners. Check passport visa. Submit I-94. The Immigration Bureau will staple the I-94 lower leaflet to your passport. Don’t let it fall off. You will have to hand it back when you leave the country later.

6. Immediately after the immigration office is the luggage carousel. Look at the screen to find the flight carousel and collect your luggage. After passing through customs, customs will be randomly inspected.

7. After passing customs, you will immediately go to the airline luggage transfer desk. There should be a SanDiego note on the luggage in Shanghai or Seoul. Just push it to the airline without any formalities.

8. Look at the screen to find the terminal and boarding gate for SanDiego. Go out and take the Terminal Shuttle Bus (TSB) to the terminal. Enter the terminal, go through security, and go to the boarding gate.
