How does RMIT get into Melbourne University?

According to the regulations, overseas students studying in Australia can apply for transfer after completing six months of major courses (excluding previous language courses). The school cannot accept the application of students who have not completed the main courses for 6 months, except in the following circumstances.

(1) The school where students are currently studying has closed down, teaching activities have stopped, and students have been forced to transfer.

(2) The school agrees to transfer students and issues a release letter.

(3) At present, the school has been told by the government that it can no longer provide courses for students.

(4) Letters issued by relevant government departments, stating that transfer is of great benefit to students' personal development.

At present, many students transfer to other schools, and some students who are dissatisfied with their current schools or are not interested in their previous majors achieve the purpose of obtaining Australian degrees and immigration status through re-selection.

1. Change the department or major of the same school.

If you are in the same school and change your major, you only need to get the consent of the school. If there are places in the school, you can transfer without telling the Immigration Bureau. For example, after studying for a master's degree in accounting at RMIT, and later interested in a master's degree in logistics, applicants only need to fill in the course change form in the International Department before the start of school, and then go through the admission procedures such as fee change after approval. However, if students study business and want to switch to nursing, it will be more troublesome to switch to a major. Usually, students need to pass all the previous courses and meet the entrance requirements of new majors, such as IELTS.

2, the main course is less than 6 months to change schools.

If you want to change schools, and your main course has been studied for less than 6 months, you need to go to the new school to get a new offer, and then notify the original school to apply for a release letter. If the original school refuses, and you have good reasons, you can appeal to the Australian Ministry of Education.

If the original school approves, you can get the release letter and apply for a new admission confirmation letter (CoE) in the new school, thus completing the transfer. It should be noted here that if the visa category has not changed, you don't need to inform the immigration office that you have changed. But if you transfer to a different level of courses, you must apply for a new visa. If students from SVP University transfer to non-SVP universities, they also need to change their visas.

3. I have studied in the main course for more than 6 months, and I propose to transfer, but my learning level remains unchanged.

If you have been studying in your main course for more than 6 months and apply for transfer, but your learning level remains the same, for example, from one high school to another, from TAFE to a private college, or from one university to another, you don't need to change the visa category or apply for a new visa. Just ask the original school to write a release letter. At this time, the school can't refuse, and the applicant gets the CoE of the new school. It should be noted here that even if you transfer for more than 6 months, you need to inform the original school to stop your course, otherwise the school will not know that you are still treated as a student there, such as asking you to pay tuition, hand in your homework and keep attendance records.

4. The main course has been studied for more than 6 months, and the transfer is proposed, but the learning level has changed.

If you study in your main course for more than 6 months and apply for transfer, and your learning level changes, such as from high school to pre-university plus undergraduate course, in this case, the visa category changes, and you must apply for a new visa. Austria and China are very professional in helping students change visas, and all difficult problems can be solved, such as changing from undergraduate to junior college.

Some students need to use new guarantees or study abroad loans because it is too troublesome to change visas. What should they do? At this time, you can change your study abroad plan. For example, if the undergraduate applicant transfers to the chef TAFE course, then Austria and China can apply for a two-year diploma offer+ undergraduate supporting offer. In this way, the application can get two offer and CoE, and then transfer will become the same level of learning.

The problem of transferring high education to low education: In addition, many people mistakenly think that they can't transfer their high education to low education, but it's not, as long as the reasons are right. For example, many students who have completed 1.5 years of master's degree in international business can consider taking a diploma course in translation for one and a half years, or master's students in art can take an extra course in printing design for 1 year. Of course, their visa will become 572.

5. The transfer time is half a year.

As stipulated in the Overseas Student Education Service Act, overseas students in Australia can only apply for transfer after completing the six-month main course (excluding the previous language course). This means that students who started school in February and completed their courses in June have only studied for five months, but they want to apply for transfer in July, which is less than half a year. Some schools refused to issue release letters less than half a year, which seriously delayed the transfer plan of some students.

When international students transfer, they should remember to consult in advance or inform the immigration officer of your transfer plan in time, and some can also inform the immigration officer after transfer. If you call them, the Immigration Bureau will often give you a fax number, so please inform them in writing by fax.
