Where does Wanggedu Reservoir belong?

Wanggedu Reservoir is located in the section above Luhekou of Wuding River, which is 12km away from Hengshan County. It is a large-scale backbone water source project of Yulin Energy and Chemical Industry Base and the last reservoir planned by Wuding River. The reservoir's task is mainly to supply water and retain sand, giving consideration to the comprehensive utilization of irrigation and power generation. It mainly solves the domestic and industrial water use in Yuheng coal chemical industry area and Yumisui salinization work area (including Mizhi and Suide County), and supplements the irrigation water of 6,543,800+0.46 million mu in existing irrigation areas such as Huile Canal, Xianghui Canal, Dinghui Canal and Zhinv Canal downstream of the reservoir.

Engineering benefit

After the completion of the reservoir, the annual domestic and industrial water supply is 654.38+560 million m3, and the agricultural irrigation water supply is 44.4 million m3. The total duration of the project is 42 months, and the estimated total investment is 210.60 billion yuan.

Architectural evolution

In May 2009, the feasibility study report of the reservoir was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission; In September 2009, the preliminary design was reviewed by the Water Resources Department and reported to the Provincial Development and Reform Commission for approval. The main project of the plan was officially started on 20 10.

Cultural relic archaeology

In order to cooperate with the construction of Wanggedu Reservoir in Wuding River Blocking Project in Yulin City, it started from June 20 10 and lasted for four months. Shaanxi Institute of Archaeology and Yulin Archaeological Exploration Team jointly excavated the flooded area, dam site area and immigrant area of the reservoir, and successively excavated three cultural sites, namely Yangjiesha, Dagu Street and Wangyangpan.

Yangjiesha site is similar to Archean site in appearance. Archaeologists excavated a large number of pottery, stone tools, bones and jade articles, and found 32 houses and 93 ash pits. According to the characteristics of the ruins and cave houses, they all belong to the late Yangshao ruins. Wang Yang Pan Site is located at about 1km south of Wuding River, with 7 houses, 62 ash pits and 3 tombs found. Judging from the unearthed cultural relics, Wang Yang Pan site belongs to Longshan cultural site.

Many buildings in these three sites have been destroyed, only the ground of the main room remains, and the traces of doorways are still clearly visible. Many floors are coated with a layer of white ash, with a thickness of 0.3 cm to 1 cm, while others are double or triple layers of white ash. Archaeologists believe that this means that people at that time have learned to use white ash to prevent moisture.
