Where is Zhao Tuo's Nanyue State?

The predecessor of Nanyue State came from three counties established in Lingnan by Qin Dynasty: Nanhai County, Guilin County and Xiang Jun County. Nanhai County has jurisdiction over Panyu, Boluo, Sihui, Longchuan, Lijiang and Jieyang. It is located in today's Guangdong Province, with Shaoguan in the north, Linhai in Hong Kong in the south, Hezhou in Guangxi in the west, Shantou in the east and Panyu in today's Guangzhou.

Guilin County has 45 counties under its jurisdiction, with a very large territory, mainly located in today's Guangxi, including a part of Guangdong Province, that is, most of Nanning, Guigang, Baise and Liuzhou, north of Yulin, east and south of Hechi. Guilin in the north, Hechi in Guangdong in the south, Baise in Guangxi in the west, and Wuzhou in Guangxi and Guangdong in the east. It is located in Busan county, which is now under the jurisdiction of Guigang city. Elephant County is mainly located in western Guangxi, from Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong to northern Vietnam, and also includes a small part of Guizhou and Yunnan. It connects Kaili in Guizhou in the north, northern Vietnam in the south, Guangnan in Yunnan in the west and Baise in Guangxi in the east.

The Qin dynasty implemented the county system. From 2 19 BC to 2 14 BC, Qin Shihuang sent troops to South Vietnam twice, and it took six years to completely conquer Baiyue, and established three counties in Baiyue: Nanhai County, Guilin County and Xiang Jun County. After the establishment of the three counties, Qin Shihuang immigrated to the three counties several times, reaching 500,000 people, and also moved10.5 million women to the three counties at one time in order to marry local soldiers. These people became the earliest Han immigrants in Baiyue area. After the demise of the Qin Dynasty, Zhao Tuo was ordered by Qin Jun, the deputy commander of Longchuan County, Nanhai County, who went to Baiyue twice, to kill the officials sent by Qin Shihuang to the three counties and replace them with his cronies, blocking the passage between Baiyue and the Central Plains, thus forming a de facto regime.

In 204 BC, Zhao Tuo officially established the country of Nanyue, calling itself the "King of Nanyue", with Panyu (now Guangzhou) as its capital. From the founding monarch Zhao Tuo to the subjugated monarch Zhao Jiande, there were five kings, and one * * * existed for 93 years (from 204 BC to 65438 BC+065438 BC+02 BC). In BC 1 12, Emperor Liu Che sent 65,438+10,000 troops to wage war against South Vietnam, which was destroyed that year.
