The geographical location of Dajiu Lake

Dajiu Lake is located in Shennongjia. It is a swamp-mountain basin, and it is a subalpine wetland. It covers an area of more than 30,000 mu, with an altitude of 1.700 meters and an area of 36 square kilometers. It is about15km long from north to south and 3km wide from east to west. There is 17 square kilometers of Pingchuan in the middle, surrounded by mountains. It is extremely rare to find such primitive flat land in Shennongjia mountain area.

Jiuhuping is surrounded by high mountains, with the highest peak of 2800 meters, forming a natural barrier. There are nine big mountain beams in the east and west, with dense trees and magnificent momentum. Nine streams between the mountains, like nine jade belts, floated down from the clouds. On this alpine plain, there are exactly nine lakes, which are row upon row. Xiao Jiu Lake, separated by a mountain, covers an area of 5,000 mu, and a stream connects nine small lakes. Dajiu Lake and Xiao Jiu Lake are named after this. Dajiu Lake connects Chongqing in the west, Shaanxi in the north, Badong in the south and the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. It is a transit station connecting Chongqing, Hubei and Shaanxi. Dajiu Lake is not only a timber base, but also a natural pasture. All kinds of economic trees are spread all over Shan Ye. In addition to rare animals such as golden monkeys and South China tigers, there are also artificial deer farms. The natural scenery of Dajiu Lake is pleasant, and there are many legendary historical sites, mainly including: Ximachi, Xue Descendants, Anti-Zhou Cross (the name of Wu Zetian), Princess Tomb, Jiejiatao and so on.
