Economic situation of Zhuoshuixi

The town of Dadu, where the turbid water stream flows, was originally named "Wuxi". There are many streams and beaches on the east side of the predicament, and black gravel is often washed down after heavy rain, hence the name Wuxi. This town is also one of the earliest developed areas in central Taiwan Province Province. This used to be the settlement of Pingpu nationality. During the Dutch occupation of Taiwan Province Province, all cultivated land was owned by the Dutch colonial authorities, and Taiwan Province was called "the King of Heaven". Up to now, there are two villages in the southeast of this township, "Wangtian Village" and "Nanwangtian Village". After Zheng Chenggong recovered Taiwan Province Province, there were many immigrants from Fujian. These immigrants were reclaimed during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and became the passage for later immigrants to enter the Taichung Basin. The sea line that runs through the railway enters Longjing Township, joins the mountain line at the junction with the hometown of Uzbek people, and crosses Daduxi into Changhua. The North-South Expressway runs through the south of the town, and there is an interchange in Wangtian. The highway around the island runs through the township and can reach Taichung Port. The transportation is very convenient, and it is the gateway from the south to Taichung Basin. The northeast of Dadushan Township is the southwest end of Dadushan Platform, with an average elevation of about 200-300 meters. In the southwest, there is a riverbank plain submerged by big belly waves, and the land is fertile. In the early years, rice and corn were abundant in the plain area of Dadu Township, and citronella, pineapple, litchi, longan and papaya were abundant near the platform. After the mid-1960s, taking advantage of convenient transportation, the township gradually turned from an agricultural economy to an industrial and commercial economy, and established industries such as food, textiles, steel, rubber, paper making and automobiles. One of the larger enterprises is Sanfu Automobile Factory, which mainly produces Renault brand cars and vans.
