Do I need a visa for Taiwan Province passport to go to Czech Republic?

The Czech Republic belongs to Schengen District, and holders of ROC passports can enjoy visa-free treatment.

However, it must be pointed out that the visa-free treatment for China people (here all refer to nationals of the Republic of China) in Europe does not mean that China people can unconditionally enter the Schengen area. China people enter the Schengen area visa-free, and immigration officials usually require: hotel reservation confirmation records and proof of payment, round-trip air tickets and financial proof sufficient to maintain their living expenses during their stay in Europe. It is recommended that Chinese people prepare in advance and carry them with them.

China people do not need a Schengen visa to travel to 36 European countries and regions. They need to prepare the following documents (please prepare them in advance and bring them with you):

A valid passport of the Republic of China with the uniform number of the national identity card must be produced; Including the holders of China Chip Passport and Machine-readable Passport (MRP); For holders of diplomatic and official passports, please ask the China institution of the country you intend to visit. In addition, on the day when China people leave the Schengen countries, their passports must still be valid for more than three months.

Hotel reservation confirmation records and payment vouchers, invitations from relatives and friends, travel itinerary and return air tickets.

Proof of financial resources sufficient to support your life during your stay in Europe, such as cash, traveler's checks, credit cards or documents from the inviter.

If you want to go to Schengen countries for short-term study, business negotiations, exhibitions, competitions and meetings, in addition to the above documents and certificates, the immigration officer will also ask to check other supporting documents, such as: (1) short-term study and training: admission (study) permit, student ID card or related documents. (2) Business or exhibition: invitation letter, exhibition registration certificate and other documents issued by local companies or exhibition organizers. (3) Engaging in scientific, cultural and sports competitions or attending conferences and other exchange activities: invitation letter, registration confirmation certificate and other documents.

For other precautions, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions on Visa Waiver in Schengen Countries of the European Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ethnic minorities who do not have a unified national identity card number on their passports are not allowed to apply for Schengen visa-free treatment, and they need to apply for a Schengen visa before they can travel to Europe.
