Zeng and Lu Xianshan's statistics and field investigation on genealogy, local chronicles and other related materials show that there are as many as 797 immigrant families in Zhuji Township.

Xiao Xinglin, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of Nanxiong Municipal Committee and director of the Civilization Office, told reporters that the position of Zhuji Lane in the hearts of Cantonese people is the same as that of the stone wall in Ninghua, Fujian Province in the hearts of Hakka people. During the reign of Xianchun in the Southern Song Dynasty, Song Duzong, a dissolute and extravagant man, ignored the important affairs of the imperial court and allowed the treacherous court official Jia Sidao to usurp power and mistake the country. At that time, there was a concubine named Hu in the harem who secretly ran out of the palace because she hated court life and longed for the happiness of ordinary people. One day, Song Duzong wanted to make good luck with Hu Fei. When she found that she had escaped, she ordered soldiers and horses to search everywhere. Facing the tight encirclement search, Hu Fei knew that he could not escape, so he jumped into the river.

It happened that Huang Chuwan, a businessman in Nanxiong Zhuji Lane, rented a boat and did business in the capital Lin 'an. When he was standing at the bow enjoying the beautiful scenery, he saw a drowning woman floating in the middle of the river. He hurriedly rescued her from the boat and gave her some soup. This woman called, after being rescued, she panicked and called herself Su.

Who knows, it won't last long. A gambler living in Zhuji Lane wanted to blackmail Huang Chu. Because he lost money, he was surprised to learn that Hu Fei was wanted by the government. In order to get a reward, the gambler reported to the government that Hu Fei was hiding in Zhuji Lane.

Treacherous court official Jia Sidao was very worried when he received the report. In those days, he claimed to the emperor that he saw Hu Fei drowning with his own eyes and conducted an autopsy himself. Now Hu Fei is still alive, so he is not charged with "deceiving the monarch".

Therefore, Jia Sidao set a deadly trap of "shielding criminals" and killed all the people in Zhuji Lane, leaving no survivors, burying the news that Hu Fei was still alive. Jia Sidao reported to Song Duzong that someone in Nanxiong Zhuji Lane was going to rebel. Song Duzong, the bad king, issued a decree: washing Zhuji Lane with blood.

Facing the coming disaster, people in Zhuji Lane are terrified. At this time, Gong Sheng Luo Guiqiu stepped forward and called everyone together to seek collective escape. After discussion, it is considered that the Pearl River Delta is vast and sparsely populated, which is suitable for survival. Under the leadership of Luo Guiqiu, Zhuji Lane, with a surname of 97 households, cut bamboo rafts, bid farewell to Zhuji Lane, his hometown, and followed Zhenjiang and Beijiang to the Pearl River Delta region.

In order not to bring trouble to the villagers in Zhuji Lane, Hu Fei resolutely jumped ashore to deal with the imperial army when the imperial army surged in, stalling for time, allowing the people in Zhuji Lane to escape and gain time. Then, Hu Fei jumped into the well.
