What procedures and conditions are required for Chinese citizens to travel to East Timor?

Application Instructions

1. Chinese citizens holding diplomatic or official passports are exempted from applying for a visa when traveling to East Asia and can stay for 30 days. A visa is required for stays exceeding 30 days.

2. Chinese citizens holding other types of passports need to apply for a visa when traveling to East Asia. When entering Timor-Leste by land (that is, crossing the land border between Indonesia and Timor-Leste in the central part of Timor Island), you need to apply for a visa at the Timor-Leste Embassy in advance; if you enter through sea or air channels, you can apply for a visa on arrival.

Application process

1. Applicants for visas to Timor-Leste determine their purpose and itinerary.
