International students can only study CPA. Australian chartered accountant qualification and membership are only granted to Australian permanent residents and citizens, so you can only become a full member from associate member after successfully immigrating to Australia. After obtaining CPAA qualification, you can apply for CPAA membership in any Commonwealth country, such as Britain, the United States, Ireland, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. NIA members are divided into four levels: Australian Junior National Accountant (ANIA), Australian National Certified Accountant (MNIA), Australian Professional National Certified Accountant (PNA) and Australian Senior Professional National Certified Accountant (FPNA), and their membership is recognized globally. NIA has the right to sign audit reports and financial reports, and can work in the fields of accounting, auditing, taxation, financial services, management consulting, bankruptcy execution, investment consulting and senior management permitted by law.

NIA, a wholly-owned Australian Accounting Education (AEA), is a higher education institution approved by the Australian government, and is eligible to issue advanced diplomas (equivalent to a three-year diploma in China). Because the vocational education and higher education in Australia adopt the same system, that is to say, vocational education and higher education are completely connected, students can enter the industry through vocational education channels and complete higher education through years of continuous learning.
