Why can't many international students stay in Canada for a few years after graduation?
Moreover, most international students originally planned to start a new life in Canada after graduation.
According to a survey conducted by the Canadian Bureau of International Education, 59% of international students believe that "the potential of permanent residency" is the decisive factor in their decision to study in Canada.
Another survey in British Columbia also found that 63% of international students in British Columbia plan to stay in Canada after graduation.
However, the opposite is true. Due to their difficulties in immigration projects and the lack of coordination between the Canadian provincial government and the federal government, most international students are (forced) to go home in frustration a few years after graduation.
In many cases, it may actually be easier for students to apply for immigration in different provinces than in the provinces where they study. But they have little ability to find out what project is best for them.
