Fudan University confirmed that the ancestors of East Asians came from Africa.

(Shanghai News) A recent study published by the Institute of Genetics of Fudan University confirmed that 80% of East Asian men have the same genetic origin, and the ancestors of East Asians came from Africa. China people, Tibetan-speaking people and mountain people in Taiwan Province Province all have the same genetic genes and the same ancestors.

The study also found that the Y chromosome type of the northern population is relatively simple, and it is a subgroup of the southern population. It can be inferred that the earliest migration route of prehistoric East Asians was from south to north.

According to a report by Xinhuanet yesterday, researchers such as Li Jing and Lu Daru from the Institute of Genetics of Fudan University spent three years systematically using single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) on Y chromosome as a genetic marker for the first time in the world to investigate the type and frequency distribution of Y chromosome haplotypes in East Asian population. This paper discusses the origin, migration and genetic relationship of East Asian populations. A major breakthrough has been made in this research.

The hypothesis of "African origin" holds that modern people from all continents originated in Africa.

Through the analysis of Y chromosome SNP of the representative ethnic groups of Sino-Tibetan language family, it is found that all ethnic groups of this language family are of the same origin, and their ancestors may be the Bianqiang clan who migrated from the south 30 thousand years ago and settled in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River. About 6000 years ago, a branch of the Bianqiang clan moved westward and southward into the Himalayas through the Tibetan-Yi Corridor, which led to the division of the Chinese language family and the Tibetan-Burmese language family in the Sino-Tibetan language family.

Tibetans then merged with the ancients from Central Asia to form a multi-origin combination with the characteristics of East Asia and Central Asia on the Y chromosome.

Fudan University, in its research on the aborigines in Taiwan Province Province, the ethnic groups in Southeast Asia and the ethnic groups in the Pacific Islands, denied the previously widely accepted statement that Polynesians originated from the aborigines in Taiwan Province Province, and put forward a new conclusion: Southeast Asia, including southern China, may be the origin of Polynesians who immigrated to the Pacific Islands 3,000 years ago.

The research results of this project not only provide an important scientific basis for studying the origin and evolution of modern people, but also lay the foundation for further studying the genomic diversity for the purpose of disease and drug development.
