Are Shaanxi people descendants of Qin people?

Shaanxi people are not descendants of Qin people. Contemporary Shaanxi people are mostly descendants of ancient ethnic minorities and immigrants from Shanxi, Shandong, Henan and Hubei.

The ancestors of Qin people sometimes lived in the Central Plains, but more often they lived in seclusion between Rong and Di. Some of the extraordinary descendants lived in Yidi, while Xuan Sun Zhong of Zhongyan lived in Xirong. The concubine first lived in Goushan, between Jishui and Weishui, and later sealed it to Qin Yi and even to Longshan in the west. Qin Zhong, a descendant of Fei Zi, was called "Doctor Xi". "Xi Huang" means the western border, which is located in the southwest of Tianshui City, Gansu Province, a little west than Qin Yi.

When he arrived in Qin Xianggong, the Qin people were formally established and made princes. At the end of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Empress Dowager rebelled and killed Zhou Youwang with the help of dogs. At the end of the Western Zhou Dynasty, Zhou Pingwang was forced to move eastward to Luoyang. Qin Xianggong sent troops to quell the chaos and escorted his drought-striken fields eastward, which made great contributions. Zhou Pingwang sealed it to King Qin Xiang, because the Zhou Dynasty could not actually control the Guanlong area.

King Zhou Pingwang and King Qin Xiang swore: "There is no way to invade our ambiguous and rich land, and Qin can attack and chase it, which will have its land." This year was the first year of Zhou Pingwang and the seventh year of Qin Xianggong (770 BC).

So Shaanxi people are not descendants of Qin people.
