Reading Notes —— "Dingxi Chapter of Travel and Re-travel"

Mr. Fei Xiaotong's Hang Hang Hot Trip was written in 199 1. Years ago, I read this book from beginning to end. This book is the integration of Mr. Fei Lao's research, which mainly discusses the development of township enterprises in the east and west and the regional economic and social development caused by the development of township enterprises. A few years later, I focused on reading Dingxi. Many of these places are very inspiring and moving to record.

Judging from the time of writing this book, Mr. Fei Lao's research in Dingxi should be in the 1980s. This paper is divided into nine parts, systematically recording the overall picture of Dingxi's economic and social development at that time, deeply analyzing the development status of emerging township enterprises, and finally discussing the development direction of Dingxi's township enterprises. There are not only expensive observations and interviews, but also expensive thinking and imagination. There are vivid examples and simple comparisons, which quickly bring readers into the scene of that era, which is very grounded and grounded.

Mr. Fei Lao's first concern is the drought and unreasonable agricultural structure in Dingxi. He clearly put forward the development of grass and livestock industry, especially the key transformation of grass. He wrote that "the transformation of grass is not only a matter of natural ecology, but also a big issue of how to coordinate and balance human ecology and natural ecology". In short, the transformation of grass is more important how to transform and how to deal with it. This involves a very important factor: labor. The concept, technical level and organizational form of labor force will affect the transformation of grass. Fei Lao gave a vivid example. A farmer just wants to grow grain instead of grass, because people can't live by eating grass, so planting grass is meaningless to this farmer. Fei Lao thinks that farmers can't be blamed for this, and this concept has historical reasons. In history, Dingxi's population mostly immigrated from Hebei, Shanxi and other places, retaining the tradition of growing grain in the Central Plains. But this tradition is not suitable for Dingxi, which is extremely dry. Fei Lao believes that the way out for Dingxi in the future is to develop grass and livestock industry through grass reform.

Over the past 20 years, Dingxi has continuously adjusted its industrial structure, and formed a grass and livestock industry with forage grass transformation as its core, which has begun to take shape. This not only organically links planting and aquaculture, but also forms a development model of dry farming circular agriculture; It has also promoted the further development of related processing industries, forming a vivid situation in which primary production and secondary production effectively promote each other.

Secondly, by comparing the innate advantages of the east and the west, Fei Lao thinks that the advantages of the west lie in resources and land, while the advantages of the east lie in capital and technology. He believes that the development of township enterprises in the west must cooperate with mature township enterprises in the east, and this cooperation must be mutually beneficial, that is to say, the west must exchange resources for technology, form long-term effective cooperation, give play to its own advantages and get rich together. In addition, Fei Lao also believes that in the cooperation between the East and the West, it is necessary to carry out capillary activities and let enterprises directly dock. Such exchange of needed goods is the basis.

On this issue, Fei Lao made an in-depth investigation on the JD.COM factory of Dingxi military enterprise. This factory was very profitable in the 1980s and 1990s, and sometimes pulling out a production line was enough to build another secondary factory. But its biggest limitation is the way it develops. It is the kind of factory-run social model, which is very closed and has serious internal friction. Fei Lao pointed out this problem at that time and thought that this development model could not last long. Eventually, the JD.COM factory went bankrupt. This confirms Fei Lao's point of view from the opposite side: enterprises must cooperate, complement each other's advantages and go into battle lightly.

Fei Lao believes that Dingxi self-employed individuals are expected to grow into leading talents of township enterprises. He suggested that the local government should give them more attention and support.

Finally, Fei Lao pointed out with great foresight that the western market is in the west, and the commercial foundation of the "Silk Road" has existed since ancient times, and it will definitely take this road again in the future. For the northwest, the first problem is to grasp the direction of industrial development in the northwest and develop it as soon as possible. He suggested that Muslim food in the northwest may go abroad in the future. Now it seems that some of Fei Lao's ideas have been realized, and some will be realized in the near future.

During my growing years, I also witnessed a little change in Dingxi. Fei Lao's evaluation of Dingxi has almost been confirmed, and I have to admire his old man's insight, which is really incisive. Why is Fei Lao's exposition always forward-looking Why is his vision always more than twenty years ahead? I think the fundamental reason is that he doesn't pat his head on the study, but conducts in-depth research, works steadily and realistically, looks at problems objectively, comprehensively and deeply, and makes suggestions more grounded and practical. This may be the most precious wealth that Fei Lao left to our younger generation.
