Where to take the IELTS physical exam in Shenzhen?

Luoyang Dahua IELTS reminds you that many prospective international students who will enroll in 2016 have already received OFFER and are preparing for visas, so physical examination materials before visa are required.

Crowds to be checked

If you are a resident of China and wish to stay in the UK for at least six months from 31 December 2013, you must be in the designated The hospital conducted an examination and confirmed that he was not infected with tuberculosis. If you plan to stay in the UK for less than six months, you do not need to do this test, unless you are applying for a six-month fiancé(e) visa (such a visa must be tested). Currently, customers applying for other types of visas do not need to undergo this test.

Tuberculosis Testing for Children

If you are a parent or guardian of a child under 11 years old, you must take your child to complete a personal health analysis questionnaire at a designated hospital. Clinicians will decide on a case-by-case basis whether your child needs to be tested for TB. For children who do not need testing, your doctor will give you a certificate. This proof must be submitted with your child’s UK visa application. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for testing.

Designated testing hospitals

You must be tested at a hospital designated by the UK Home Office. Tests performed at unauthorized hospitals will not be recognized. Below is a list of medical examination hospitals that I have given you. Before testing, you are required to make an appointment at a designated hospital. Please indicate that you need to undergo a test to apply for a visa to the UK. You will receive notification from the hospital within a few days of your request for testing.

Materials you need to bring:

◎Proof of identity (the ID must include a photo, such as a passport)

◎Tuberculosis examination fee is 550 yuan

If you have had tuberculosis or other lung disease before, you will need to provide detailed information and provide clinical records and X-ray test results (if available). If you would like to make an appointment with a female doctor, please contact the clinic when scheduling your appointment.

What are the inspection items included?

You will be scheduled for a chest X-ray. During the examination, you will need to take off your upper body clothes and you will be given a long gown to cover your body.

How long will the inspection take?

If the X-ray results are inconclusive, you will be asked to have a saliva sample taken (sputum coughed out of the lungs). The results of the saliva test will be available in two months.

Examination fee

The X-ray examination fee is RMB 550. The examination fee does not include the cost of treatment after being diagnosed with tuberculosis.

Get test results

After passing the standard test, as long as your chest X-ray result shows normal, you can quickly get the test results and a certificate issued by the hospital. If the test results are inconclusive, you will need to take a sputum test (mucus coughed up from the lungs), and the results will be available after 2 months. If you do not have tuberculosis, you will get a certificate, which is valid for 6 months, and then you need to submit the certificate with your visa application.

If you are diagnosed with tuberculosis, you will not be able to get the corresponding certificate. The clinician will give you relevant treatment suggestions, and the treatment time is six months. During this period, you will not be able to apply for a UK visa until you can prove that you have participated in treatment and recovered.

If you have received a confirmed school OFFER or CAS, you can go for a physical examination. The physical examination report is valid for 6 months.

During the physical examination, you need to bring a one-inch photo of yourself and your school’s English name, contact address, and zip code. I'm not sure the school doesn't want to go for a physical exam.

Try to avoid the peak period for physical examination applications (July), and make an appointment as soon as possible once the school is confirmed.

Recently, students who are about to go to the UK to study abroad have asked about physical examinations, and this article provides answers.

Q: Is it necessary to have a physical examination in China before going abroad? What are the risks if you don't do it? Where should I do it?

Answer: Students who are about to go to the UK to study abroad must be very busy during this period. In addition to preparing visa materials, they are also busy with physical examinations, and there is a pile of luggage waiting to be packed. It is really frustrating.

What’s even more confusing is that visas and luggage are not included, and you must spare some time to prepare them. But many students really question the physical examination. Is it necessary? It seems like it doesn’t matter if you don’t do it, right?

Some students may occasionally hear in forums or alumni groups that seniors say it doesn’t matter if they don’t have a physical examination, but there are indeed people around us who have experienced being locked up in a dark room because they didn’t produce a physical examination certificate. How dare you? Are you taking such a risk in an unfamiliar place?

So, students who are going to the UK for more than 6 months are best to complete their physical examination in China in advance.

For British students, there are two physical examination certificates we need to apply for, one is the "International Travel Health Examination Certificate" in red booklet, and the other is the "International Vaccination Certificate" in yellow booklet. The former is similar to the physical examination items we usually do, including blood pressure, pulse, vision, ear, nose and throat, heart examination, etc. The latter is vaccination against some diseases.

It should be noted that not all medical examination centers in any hospital can provide medical examinations that meet the requirements for traveling to the UK. You need to contact the local entry-exit physical examination center, and then go for the physical examination with your ID card, passport, photo and cash. The physical examination needs to be done on an empty stomach, so the sooner you arrive, the better.

There is another type of physical examination that is required when applying for a student visa according to the British gov.uk, that is, a tuberculosis examination. The test results must be submitted at the same time as the visa application.

Similarly, this kind of examination is not provided by any hospital, but is designated by the British Home Office (Home Office), and you need to make an appointment in advance before going.

Currently, 14 cities in China can provide tuberculosis examinations, namely Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Harbin, Jinan, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Xi'an. The specific locations that can provide physical examinations in each city can be found on the official website.

The cost of tuberculosis examination is RMB 550. If you need a female doctor to examine you, you must make an appointment in advance and explain clearly. Passport, passport photo, passport copy and inspection fee are required on the day of inspection.

If you have had tuberculosis or other lung diseases before, you need to bring your previous cases and X-ray results. After the test results come out, you will get an English certificate and then show it to the embassy.

In short, the "International Travel Health Examination Certificate" and "International Vaccination Certificate" may be randomly checked upon entry, and the tuberculosis test is required when applying for a visa of more than 6 months.

In order to avoid unnecessary procedures and processes, it is safer for students to be fully prepared before setting off.
